- The Forward Controls Design PF-040 pins are .040″ longer than standard pins allowing for easier removal of the upper receiver. The extra length is just enough to make separating the receivers easier without causing excess snag points. They are also dimpled to allow use of an aid like a tool or tip of a bullet for tighter fitting receivers.
They are made from 17-4 PH SS bar stock and black nitride finished.
NOTE:
PF-040 may not work “PDW” stocks that have bars overlapping the take down pin holes.
PF-040 may be shipped with the old PWA-040 instructions card, the name under which it was sold up till Feb of 2019. The pins are identical, Forward Controls acquired the rights to the pins in Feb. of 2019.
