Bolt catch and safety selector are investment cast AISI8620 steel
Magazine catch, takedown, and pivot pins are machined from AISI8620 steel
Selector and takedown/pivot pin detents are KNS Precision stainless steel and are black nitride finished (QPQ) to increase lifespan. No more mushy detents!
Includes and extra takedown/pivot pin detent and spring in case you launch them into orbit.
As of Q3 2019, our LPKs include the Forward Controls Design EMR magazine release button and 10.9 in/lb mag catch spring as a standard. The EMR has a rounded profile that better engages the contour of the finger which gives more positive feedback as well as being more ergonomic. The heavier mag catch spring reduces the chances of magazines being inadvertently knocked loose, especially with use of slings or chest rigs.

These kits are excellent. I purchased two of these kits. I know of no other part dealer who supplies and puts together such a quality kit. Yes it’s more pricey than your average kit, but you are getting investment cast parts, KNS detents, and Forward Controls Design EMR mag release. Most kits you have no idea what you’re getting. However, you know you are getting a good kit when they tell you what the parts are actually made out of. You will probably spend more money to upgrade your lower kit with similar parts later on anyway. Don’t know if Alex will make more of these. But when they are in stock, buy it!
