Most of our work is done by request, to the customer’s specifications. Generally it has worked well and don’t normally build a “stock” rifle, but we wanted to do something special and put together a system that was thought out from the beginning and not just a conglomeration of parts.
We aren’t much for tacti-cool names so you can name it after your high school sweetheart on your own, but this 12.5″ AR pistol is still a very capable stick
Just like everything we do, care was taken at every point to make sure the rifle was done right, perfecting even the smallest details, and focusing primarily on how well it operates over anything else. Each component is individually inspected to our own set of quality control standards and we never make any assumptions that another vendor did or didn’t do something right.
We did however add a few of our favorite things to this one and had a custom bronze color mixed up thanks to our friends at Culper Precision.
Although a great looking rifle is always nice, its whats inside is what really matters. Don’t feel bad putting this one through its paces in classes or harsh environments. It will do the job.
Lets get down to the specs:
Zev receiver set provides for excellent consistency and fitment. Care was taken not to disturb the fitment between the receivers or interfere with the function of other parts during Cerakote. Critical dimensions and holes were masked or plugged off and then lapped to make sure everything fit right.
12.5″ Carbine SOLGW Combat Grade barrel. Proof tested, Magnetic particle inspected, dimpled, and special attention paid to the gas port sizing. We also went ahead and de-burred and mirror polished the feed ramps. (You can add a 12.5″ midweight Centurion CHF barrel if you prefer for +$100)
SLR ION Lite 11.7″ MLOK rail.
Forward Controls Design GBF gas block is held to much tighter tolerances for an extremely efficient gas seal. Its installed with knurled tip set screws and red loctite, then pinned with a heavy duty coiled spring pin for extra measure.
Melonite gas tube is held within .001″ tolerances and checked for alignment with the gas key on the bolt carrier.

Thomas –
I own low-end AR-15s (Rock River, PSA, and the like) and I own high-end ARs from Knights Armament, 2A Armament, and LWRC. The high end guns are great, but THIS one is head and shoulders above the rest. The attention to detail and quality of construction are really apparent and provide a level of confidence that you just don’t get with so many other AR-15 builders. I don’t ever plan on going to war but, if I did, this is the gun I’d grab.
Since purchasing this pistol, I’ve since asked Alex to add a Law Tactical folder and a mount for my Dead Air Sandman S. It’s also been approved on a Form 1, so the brace has been replaced with a Magpul CTR stock. With the added weight of the folder and the fact that it wears a dedicated suppressor, Alex took the time to adjust the gas and swap out the buffer to make it shoot *perfectly*. (Mag dumps result in nearly ZERO gas to the face.)
Do yourself a favor and add one of these to your stable. You won’t regret it.
